The craftsmanship you see here represents a story, a journey to bring the finest fabrics and ancient traditions to the forefront. Sufia is not only a venture among three friends but also a handshake with nature and rural womenfolk of India. An Indian label mixing tradition with modernity, with a focus on the elusive ‘Chikankari’ embroidery technique that originated in the bylanes of Lucknow, India, first introduced by the Mughals.
At Sufia, folks are determined to work hand-in-hand with nature, only using natural fabrics and promoting practices that reduce the carbon footprint on the planet. Their fluid vision enables them to imagine a style to suit anyone and everyone, while also encouraging them to go to the grassroots level to give back to the real heroes of the sustainability movement - the artisans. In making styles that are universal in appeal and look good on people of all ages and sizes, Sufia is setting the record straight by recognizing the differences in people and appreciating them for their uniqueness.
They also do bespoke work as every once in a while, you would really like that sleeve a bit shorter, that length a tad longer, or maybe just a different colourway. And that’s okay! Write to them at info@sufia.co.in with all your custom requirements.
