“My artistic language comes from my life experiences. The mind acts as a repository of observations of places I have lived in, the people I have encountered and numerous other occurrences. The ups and downs of life are very cyclic. My works are influenced and inspired by these moments. I tend to have multiple conversations with my artworks that result in the creation of multi-layered art. It could be different colours, objects, animals, birds or buildings. I have also been interested in literature and poetry. The juxtapositioning of all these elements is rooted in a surrealist tradition. Mughal miniatures and architecture are other elements that I have included in my works recently. The uncommon visuals generate a sense of curiosity that I aspire.”
